Since its inception in 1953 the KGS has been committed to preserving and promoting the Country’s rich cultural heritage of the Classical fine arts in the fields of Dance, Music, Drama, Discourses, Educative Conferences, Nama Sankeerthanam as well as supporting and presenting new and innovative work by Indian and international artists from a diverse range of genres including contemporary & fusion music, folk arts, contemporary dance & drama.

The Krishna Gana Sabha (KGS) is a premier institution – one of the most respected, well-established, and dynamic cultural institutions in India today which has featured more than 15,000 events comprising of Music, Dance, Drama & Discourses since 1953.

  • Since the Sabha’s humble beginning in 1953, it has played host to some of the greatest exponents of Indian music, dance, drama and religious discourse.
  • A great consistency in the high quality of programmes featured over the years, a systematic approach to talent identification and promotion and a willingness and ability to feature a wide range of blg-forms form the hallmarks of this august institution.
  • The KGS displays a deep commitment to the advancement of academic research in the arts through the various successful conferences and discussions it hosts throughout the year. The KGS is known for its ethnic architectural and structural beauty and dynamic landscape of the auditorium and the premises.
